This statement was said by Mr. George Drysdale, CEO and President of Marsman Drysdale during the 2022 Invest in Davao Online Roadshow, organized by The City Government of Davao, through the Davao City Investment Promotion Center in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines – Mindanao Chapter and the Department of Foreign Affairs. With over 116 participants and stakeholders in attendance, the said roadshow aims to encourage investors as to why Davao City remains to be the premiere destination in various investment areas specially in Economic Development, Agribusiness, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
The Invest in Davao Roadshow was attended by the dignitaries from the Department of Foreign Affairs including the Philippine Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Jose Manuel G. Romualdez; Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the US Embassy in Manila, CDA Heather C. Variava; and the Foreign Affairs Undersecretary For Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations, Usec. Lourdes O. Yparraguirre. These reputable speakers presented what Davao City could offer with its robust and viable economic market and how its relationship with the United States fostered unlimited opportunities for foreign investors then, now and onward to the future.
Further pushing forward the goal of the roadshow – to enkindle US businesses to invest in Davao – Mr. Christian Cambaya of the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC), Mr. Jose Raul J. Balisalisa and Atty. Thyrza Marbas of SGV and Co., Ms. Christina Maranon of Sagrex, Mr. Ferdinand Maranon of AmCham Mindanao Philippines, and Mr. George Drysdale of Marsman Drysdale, elaborated in detail the benefits and incentives of establishing business in Davao City and how the competitive rates and facilities are attractions worth considering.
