IT-BPO investments and the utilization of renewable energy resources were among the chief discussions during the NOW (New Opportunities Waiting): Investment Opportunities for Nordic Businesses conducted in Davao City last May 18 attended by several businesses owners, investors, and diplomatic corps from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.

Also discussed during the activity were possible agribusiness and real estate ventures in Davao City as highlighted by Finnish Ambassador His Excellency Juha Pyykö; while Mr. Mikko Mantilla, CEO of Iona & Co. focused on the positive reasons to invest in Davao with emphasis on the city’s quality workforce, peace and order and business-friendly climate.

The webinar series was organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Davao City Investment Promotion Center, DTI Trade and Investment Center Stockholm, Philippine Embassy in Sweden, Embassy of Denmark in the Philippines, Finnish Embassy in Manila, and The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila.

NOW (New Opportunities Waiting) in Davao City is an online road show and business forum conducted by DCIPC in partnership with the private sector and diplomatic core to further promote Davao City and discuss investment opportunities in the city and investment incentives offered by the City Government of Davao.
