Established in 2007, the sister city agreement of Koror and Davao is dedicated in enhancing trading and tourism activities between their cities and improving the quality of medical services.
Former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Former Palau Governor Yositaka Adachi signed the sister city pact.
With the help of this partnership, the people of Palau may seek health assistance in Davao through referrals and avail of the cheap medical services that the Davao Doctors’ Hospital can offer.
Scheduled flights are available for Palauans to visit Davao City, should they need to avail of the medical services.
Robert Teo, the assistant chief administrator of the Davao City Investment Promotion Center, stated that, “the flights opened up the cooperation between both cities and governments as well as trade and commerce.”
