Heads of different international chambers of commerce with offices in Davao City expressed their support to the upcoming administration of Mayor-Elect Sebastian Z. Duterte, similar to the support they have given to Vice President-elect Sara Z. Duterte.

This was during the courtesy call of international chamber heads with Mayor-Elect Duterte on May 30 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building.

The meeting was attended by European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Mindanao Business Council Chairman Antonio Peralta, Canadian Chamber of the Philippines President Nilo Claudio, American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines- Mindanao Chapter President Ferdinand MaraƱon, and Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Mindanao, Inc. President Keisuke Nakao.

They also said that with the worst of COVID-19 already behind, there are more tourists and investors that will flock the city and that they will continue to promote Davao to the international community.

Also present was SP Committee on International Relations Chairman, Coun. Augusto Javier Campos who welcomed the guests.

In response to the support expressed by the guests, Mayor-Elect Duterte assured them that the Davao City LGU will continue to be open and accommodating to visitors, especially to investors that will visit the city, adding that his administration will be open to advices and suggestions from the private sector if it will benefit the people of Davao City.
