Charge D’Affaires Laura Hassinen’s courtesy visit with Davao City Mayor

Embassy of Finland in the Philippines, Charge D’Affaires Laura Hassinen had a courtesy visit with Davao City Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte, January 17, 2023. Ms. Hassinen is in Davao City for meetings with local energy and educational institutions. Possible partnerships in the areas of education, smart city and digitalization, and waste management technologies are among the matters discussed during the Courtesy Call.

Also present was Embassy of Finland Honorary Consul Antonio Peralta, DusitD2 General Manager Mr. Christoph Kuch, Mr. Fercy Cavan of the Honorary Consulate of Finland, and Ms. Rosemarie Baguio of ECCP-Davao. From the City Government of Davao were Coun. Javier Agosto Campos III and Ms. April Marie Dayap of DCIPC.

The visit of the Charge D’Affaires was also a follow-up of the meeting with Finland Ambassador to the Philippines His Excellency Juha Markus Pyykkö last October 14, 2022 wherein digital economy and tourism promotion, among other possible areas of cooperation were discussed.
