Fujian-ASEAN Friendship Provinces/Cities Conference

The City Government of Davao has been invited to join the Fujian-ASEAN Friendship Provinces/Cities Conference on September 16, 2020. The Conference was divided into three subforum in the morning, namely Join Hands in Combating Covid-19 which was attended by SP Committee Chairperson on Health – Coun. Mary Joselle Villafuerte, M.D. and City Health Officer – Dr. Josephine Villafuerte; Deepening Business and Industrial Capacity Cooperation which was attended by SP Committee Chairperson on Trade, Commerce and Industry – Coun. Nilo Abellera, Davao City Investment Promotion Center Officer-in-Charge – Ms. April Marie Dayap, and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. President – Mr. John Carlo Tria; and Expanding Cooperation in Culture and Tourism which was attended by SP Committee Chairperson on Tourism and Beautification – Coun. Myrna Ortiz and City Tourism Operations Office Officer-in-Charge – Ms. Regina Rosa Tecson.

During the afternoon, a Governors’/Mayors’ Forum and Online Signing Ceremony were held in which City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte attended and delivered a speech. During the Online Signing Ceremony, a Strategic Framework Agreement on Promoting the Cooperation Development has been signed between the Fujian Electronic Commerce Association and the Davao Young Entrepreneurs Association.
