Being both lovers of peace and security, Angeles City and Davao City established a sister city agreement on March 4, 2015.

Former Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan and former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte signed the memorandum of agreement at the Angeles University Foundation.

Former Mayor Pamintuan stated, “with Davao City’s reputation as one of the safest cities in the Philippines, we could learn a thing or two from their local government in improving our peace and order efforts here in Angeles.”

To improve urban growth for these two cities, Angeles and Davao prioritized investing more in Science and Technology, Environmental Protection, Public Health and Services.
