More than 3,500 visitors representing various companies from different industries visited the recently concluded Davao Agri Trade Expo (DATE) held September 29-30 at the SMX Lanang Premier Convention Center.
A total of 75 exhibitors also participated in the expo, which is considered the biggest and longest-running agri-business expo held annually in Southern Philippines which highlights Davao’s finest products and services in the agriculture industry.
During the 2-day event, DCIPC showcased in the exhibits the Preferred Investment Areas (PIA’s) of Davao City offering local tax incentives for future investors. Preferred areas promoted were tourism, agribusiness, ICT, light manufacturing, transportation and infrastructure.
DCIPC also facilitated the Business Matching activity during the expo to help visiting businesses and guests find suitable business partners and explore opportunities of growth through these partnerships.
“Here, we aim to enhance the marketability of Davao’s products and services, as well as strengthen the collaboration between government and the private sector in developing the agriculture sector,” remarked Ms. April Marie Dayap, DCIPC’s Officer in Charge.
The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc was the main organizer of DATE which drew more attention over the years.
