The visit to Davao City of the South African Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Bartinah Ntombizodwa Radebe-Netshitenzhe on August 15-16 has been very fruitful and holds much promise of future partnerships and collaborations between South Africa and the City Government of Davao.
The two-day visit of Ambassador Radebe-Netshitenzhe was made in participation of the Opening of the Kadayawan Festival. Her Excellency’s itinerary includes attending of Mass at the Magsaysay Park, a visit and meeting with the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc., a Tour at the Port of Davao led by Bureau of Customs District Collector, Atty. Erasmus Sandino Austria, and a Business Meeting with DCIPC.
The last part of the envoy’s itinerary was a Courtesy Call with Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte where the possible sister city agreement between Davao and Polokwane was discussed, as well as collaborations in the field of agriculture and trade. Mayor Duterte and the Ambassador both expressed optimism in the future fruitful partnerships between Davao and South Africa.
