In line with the local government’s desire to propel Davao City to a better economic recovery, the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC), in cooperation with the Board of Investments (BOI), and ICT Davao, facilitated a meeting for AGS Health (an Indian outsourcing company) held at Topaz Tower, Damosa, to discuss the investment opportunities and tax incentives offered by the City Government of Davao and the BOI to foreign investors. Likewise, Mr. Samuel Matunog the President of ICT Davao, conveyed to the key officers of AGS Health the competitive human resource that Davao City produces which can be a source of their manpower once they locate to the city.

Furthermore, Mr. Gil Dureza of the BOI assured the Indian investors that they can avail of the national incentives that the BOI provides and the local incentives through the DCIPC. As a new player in the ICT-BPM industry, AGS Health BPO proposed to employ 1,500 agents in three years once they decide to enter Davao City’s competitive ICT/BPO industry.
